The boys' family owned a small Toyota that, because of its color, was named "Silver Flash" or "Flash" for short.

Once, a group of terrorists (acting on behalf of Comet Morehouse) carnapped Flash and threatened to destroy him unless Halleys Comet agreed to leave the solar system and never return. Fortunately, Flash was able to secretly activate his seatbelt warning buzzer and keep it going. Halleys homed in on the sound and rescued Flash before he was harmed. The terrorists were captured when Halleys surrounded them with a twenty foot fence of ice crystals.
